Castaway Island, Fiji – GREEN GLOBE BENCHMARKED

On 18 December 2006 Castaway Island, Fiji retained its prestigious Green Globe Benchmarked status under the global Green Globe Benchmarking program. This program recognises the operation has maintained their business and community’s environmental, social and economic performance over the last twelve months.
In achieving Benchmarked status, Castaway Island, Fiji has continuously committed to benchmarking its energy and water consumption, total waste production and community commitment; along with implementing an integrated environmental and social policy.

In particular it has achieved Best Practice results in Resource Conservation Performance. These measures will ensure efficient practices, great cost savings and secure a sustainable future for Castaway Island, Fiji.
